This Blog post Is about my time where I got scammed for money and how I lost my League of Legends account. So I have only been scammed once in my lifetime it was was around the age of 12. I had just started playing a new game called League of Legends which is a online multiplayer strategy game. My brother introduced it to me because he really enjoyed it and her thought I would. I got really into it and really wanted to but cosmetics in the game. This includes skins for the different characters that you can purchase to make them look different and cool. I was desperate for these skins and wanted a brand new one that had come out at the time. I went on websites looking ways to earn the currency for the game which was called RP. I found this one website which said all I had to to get free RP was to put my account information for the game on the website and I would get free RP sent to my account. Me ,being a dumb twelve-year-old, didn’t have any critical thinking and thought it was a smart and safe idea. Shortly after I put that information in, I went on my account to see how much RP I got. When I tried to login my password didn’t work, I kept trying and trying, but it wasn’t working. I started panicking and went to go ask for help from my brother. He then informed me that my account got stolen and luckily my email didn’t also get stolen as well. The people who did this same tried to steal my email and also my league of legends account. Good thing they only stole my game account which did have a negative effect on me in the future, but at the time I was so sad. This worked because people wanted free ways to earn cosmetics, so basically people wanted to avoid a way of spending money.
